Snowman Table Runner
A Christmas in July class! These adorable snowman faces are the focus for this cute table runner. You’ll use machine applique, snowball corners (also called Stitch ‘n Flip) and simple hand embroidery to make the eight snowman face blocks, plus two borders.
Size: 30" x 20"
Fabric Requirements:
- Background Fabric (white or white blender): 1 Fat Quarter
- Black (Eyes & Inner Border): 1/8 yard
- Orange (Nose): Scraps, approx. 3” x 5”
- Print (Snowball Corners & Outer Border): 32x 2-1/2” squares or scraps for snowball corners on faces; 1/2 yard for outer border
- Binding: 1/4 yard
- Backing: 1-1/4 yard
- Black embroidery floss and embroidery needle (no hoop required)
Basic Supplies:
Sewing Machine in good working order (with extra needles)
Scissors or thread snips AND seam ripper
Straight pins
Pencil
100% cotton thread (neutral color is fine for piecing)
Cutting Mat (12” x 18” minimum) and Rotary Cutter
Acrylic Ruler (6” x 12” and 6” minimum square up ruler)
Personal iron and wool mat if you have it; only one iron in classroom
