Drawstring Backpack

This class is perfect for youth (14+) and adult alike. Who doesn't need a lightweight drawstring backpack for daily use or a day hike? It's an easy beginner sewing project with straight stitching.

Requirements: | 100% Cotton Fabric: 1/2 yard for exterior 1/2 yard for lining 1/4 yard for drawstrings (or you could substitute ribbon, rope, or bias tape stitched together for the drawstrings. You’ll need two lengths 66” long for the drawstrings) CUTTING (Please cut BEFORE class): 2 exterior rectangles 17” x 15” 2 lining rectangles 17” x 15” 2 casing rectangles 3” x 14" 2 loop squares 3” x 3” 3 strips 2” by width of fabric (42” min.) for drawstrings |
